Welcome to St Jude's Catholic Parish Primary School

Welcome to St Jude’s Catholic Primary School community.St Jude’s School enjoys a natural bush setting and a sustainable infrastructure that blends with the local surroundings. Our school has modern teaching techniques, programs and facilities.

We recognise that parents make an important contribution to the education of their children and welcome their active involvement in the life of the school and the educational programs offered. The staff and parents of St Jude’s share the responsibility of providing an environment where children can grow and develop to their highest potential. By working in partnership, we are committed to make your child’s years at St Jude’s safe, stimulating and happy.

St Jude’s is a school and parish community that works closely together to continue a commitment to shared education and shared celebration of its Catholic identity, its Catholic vision and its Catholic traditions. The school and parish community have, from the very beginning, been strongly bonded in building and maintaining a school and faith community: Our school and St Jude’s Parish supports and complements the family in the spiritual growth of your child. The full benefit of a catholic education occurs when the school, the family and the parish work in harmony to create a true environment for faith development.

A feature of the teaching in our school is our focus on the development of skills in reading, writing and numeracy. This is achieved through our commitment to our Literacy and Numeracy programs and the intervention programs that we provide.

Throughout the school, teachers use an Inquiry approach to curriculum delivery. This is supported by the latest computer learning technologies. St Jude’s also puts a strong emphasis on Sustainability understandings and practices. The school was the first five star Sustainable school in the Archdiocese of Melbourne achieving that status in 2007.

We welcome tours of the school and this can be arranged by contacting the school.
