Asthma Policy
Asthma is a long term lung condition whereby people have sensitive airways in their lungs which react to triggers, causing a flare up. These flare ups make it hard to breathe and a flare up can come on slowly or very quickly. St Jude's Primary school will provide a safe and supportive environment to students who are at risk of asthma.

Internet Use & Technology Policy
St Jude's provides computer facilities for the use of the school community. As Information and Communications Technology (I.C.T), in all its many forms, becomes an increasingly important tool, it is vital that children become innovative, knowledgeable, skilled, adaptable and enterprising users of technology.

 

St Jude's provides internet access for school related purposes. Students may only use school internet services for authorised activities which relate to the curriculum. Students are expected to use the internet in a manner consistent with the ethos and Christian values of the school. They are expected to use resources in a responsible manner, which demonstrates respect for others, honesty, courteous communication and adherence to all relevant rules.

Child Safety Policy & Mandatory Reporting Policy
St Jude’s is a school with an abundance of Mercy, Peace and Love. Seeking and achieving together in God’s love. And so recognising our vision and the Catholic Social Teachings our policy informs staff, students, visitors and other relevant parties that Child Safety Policy is an integral part of the safeguard the young children in our care. We are committed to a culture of child safety with a zero tolerance for child abuse.

Safeguarding Children & Young People - Code of Conduct Policy

This Code of Conduct has a specific focus on safeguarding children and young people at St. Jude’s Parish Primary School against sexual, physical, psychological and emotional abuse or neglect. It is intended to complement other professional and/or occupational codes. All staff, volunteers, service providers, contractors and clergy at St Jude's are required to observe child safe principles and expectations for appropriate behaviour towards and in the company of children. This Code of Conduct outlines acceptable and unacceptable behaviours.
